This well-researched empirical course guides the participants into developing a different relationship with the things that challenge them in their life, relying upon tools they already have.

Week by week, in a structured way, participants are progressively introduced to various forms of Mindfulness meditation practices to help them access the ability to become more self-aware, present, non-judgmental, patient and compassionate — towards themselves as well as others.

Managing Chronic Pain & Conditions with Mindfulness (Online Talk with SMU)

Chronic illnesses and chronic pain affect many people. Living with a chronic condition or chronic pain is not only physically tiring, it is also mentally draining and can lead to feelings of isolation, loneliness and inadequacy.

Through my personal experience, as someone living with two concurrent chronic conditions and chronic pain, as well as a Mindfulness practitioner and teacher for many years, I will share about the mechanisms in which Mindfulness is helping me alleviate my physical and emotional suffering on a daily basis, using practical examples, and lead the community into a short guided practice to befriend the body.

Join me for 60 min of honest exploration about the difficulties of living with a chronic condition/pain, and inspiration about the power of Mindfulness to give us our life back.
